Erin and SKM Go Braugh!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Conner, MiMi and I had a great time at the parade and visiting the green canal! **Special thanks to Carmen for the McCutie shirt!!** Conner enjoyed the parade, but really enjoyed all of the candy that was thrown into the crowd!

Conner also met his new best friend, Baby Moo. Conner LOVES Baby Moo, so much so that we talk about Baby Moo at least once an hour and include him in our prayers!

We also got to visit the zoo for the first time this year with Joni, Mike, Owen and Sam! The boys are all getting way too big! Great to see the Stevens' Family and to see how well all of our little monkeys played together!

Also, I have a challenge for each of you...what I like to call my "SKM Challenge". This week marks three years since my brother, Stephen, went home to heaven. It seems like it was just yesterday; but feels like eternity since the last time I saw him. In order to deal with this loss, I started what I have called my "SKM Challenge" See, after Stephen died, we received hundreds, if not a thousand cards, emails, etc., telling us of how much people loved Stephen and what he did for each of them. See, Stephen was a silent hero (he got it honestly...). Stephen didn't need or want the world to know of his good deeds; only the individual he was hoping to impact. My favorite was from a girl in his class who, after a long story that brings me to tears every time I think about it, wrote, "Stephen was the only person in the world that ever made me feel beautiful." Another wrote, "I don't think I would be alive today if it wasn't for Stephen being my friend." There are tons of people out there, some of whom we cross paths with every day, who need someone like Stephen. Whether it be as easy as saying, "Thank you" or "Good job" or "I am proud of you" to your employees, children, or friends - or better yet, your bosses and parents who never get to hear it, or to give an extra tip or small token of appreciation to someone who really goes above and beyond to help you out, to help your children out, or to serve you in some way or another - do it - be a silent hero like Stephen. That is my SKM Challenge: some days I fail, some days I succeed - but every day I try to be more like him (in this way....um the other ways...oh I am not brave enough!!). Try it, you will be amazed at what a better person you will become and how many lives you will impact.

Checking In...

Congratulations to Uncle Brad and Aunt Amanda on their new house (and their upcoming wedding on 7/10/10)! It is so beautiful! As you can see, Conner made himself right at home as you can see below...the funny part was when Conner turned on the water. I hadn't seen Brad move that fast since we were little kids playing capture the flag! All of the boys trying to figure something out!
New baby cows are also being born almost every day now at MiMi and B's. Conner LOVES the cows! I can't believe he isn't afraid of some of them! If you watch this video closely, you will see him waving to the cows too bad you can't hear him saying, "Hi, Moo Moo"~

My Daddy is 30!!!!!!!!

Jason turned 30 today! Hard to believe, isn't it? Happy Birthday, Jason!
We tried to teach Conner to show "3-0" but he is stuck on just being 1 right now!
Since we last posted, we also celebrated Harrison's 2nd Birthday! Happy birthday to Harrison!
Conner also got a new tractor last week. He loves it. I wish it went a little slower though, because he is not yet the best driver. Speaking of the best drivers, Conner got pulled over for the first time this week. But, he was not with Daddy, he was with Mommy. I know. I have never had a ticket in my life and was lucky enough not to get one yet. But, Jason said he will never let me live it down. I swear though, I was not going as fast as the officer said!
In case you can't tell, Conner is really into his boots these days! It reminds me of my brothers when they were little. Thanks to MiMi for his favorite boots!
Conner also went to the Boat, Sport and Travel show. He had $1.00 in his pocket, hoping that boats would be marked way down, but no such luck! His new thing when we are out and about and at home is to pull everyone by their fingers and take them where he wants to go! He even did it at the pediatric dentist. Yep, that's right. Emergency trip number 3! Conner fell and knocked a tooth loose this past week. I was right behind him and thought he had bitten his tongue. Then, that night while I was giving him a bath, I noticed that one of his bottom teeth was out of place. The dentist is hopeful that the tooth will reattach and that he will not have to have a fake one put in its place. We are praying for that!
Conner also got to come and visit Mommy at work this past week. He was quite the hit. As most of you know, he plays a shy, flirtatious little boy until he has warmed up (usually 15 minutes) then the real Conner breaks loose! All of the girls at worked loved this game. Boy, does he have them fooled!
Conner loved looking out the window at all of the cars. He kept pointing and telling everyone about the vroom vrooms. He also went door to door looking for candy (he found WAY TOO MUCH of it, by the way). So much so that now I have his handprints all over my windows! It does make me smile though when I see them during the day! He also found toys, banks and money! Lucky him! Next weekend, we are off to Great Wolf Lodge with the Braeger boys! Yea!
