D-uh! D-uh!

Brenna LOVES ducks (D-uh) as she calls them!  She chases them around the yard, tries to swim after them and even has her very own duck call.  Really...it is the cutest thing ever.  She holds her nose and makes a blowing sound.  Last night the kids were all tubing and she stood up on the tube when she saw the ducks out in the water and started calling them in!  We had two pet ducks this year (in hopes that they would stay around) but unfortunately, they decided to befriend our other ducks!  I love watching her run after them and point and try to call them in.  She loves it - that is until Remi hears her and then its over - Remi runs after the ducks, Brenna runs after Remi saying "No Remi", the ducks fly away and Brenna cries and points to "Memi".   These are the days!

When its rainy or cold...

We dance....we LOVE "watch me whip"!
We feed our babies!
We go 4-wheeling!
We fight (and get hurt!!)
We get our deer plots ready!

Fishing...all the time!

Our Daddy Rocks!

Day after day, I am amazed by Jason and the perspective that he has given our children.  He loves the land, nature and all things to do with both.  He has taught our children the same loves and through that love - each of them, including Brenna, has developed a huge sense of pride and respect.  Jason takes the kids to do things that most people would never even think about doing.  I love hearing their stories when the come home!

Last week Jason and his friend took all of the boys kayaking/fishing on Big Walnut.  They had an awesome time and Conner even caught his first small mouth!

The "big kids" also bought an old camper to turn into a mini deer hunting camp - it has been perfectly named "Rack Shack".  The kids had so much fun getting it ready - needless to say, the spray paint was impossible to scrub off!

BEFORE
AFTER!!!!

Jason also took Brenna to Cabela's on opening day!  He tried to keep it a secret from the boys but that didn't last long!!

Summer Sweetness!

All School Mass

This will be a big sacrament year for Conner Mac - he will receive First Communion and Reconciliation.  We are all very excited for him!  It was neat to watch the all-school mass led by the second graders know that they soon will be able to receive communion.
