12!!! Unbelievable! I am so proud of the young man Conner is growing up to be. He has the BIGGEST heart. He LOVES everyone. He is an AMAZING FRIEND. At the same time he is growing in all those things, he is still struggling to adjust to middle school. I pray for him each and every day - that God will guide and protect him and lead him to be who he is meant to be.
Summer always comes to an end way too soon! I do have to be honest though in that this summer was our most difficult by far. There was more fighting between the kids then there ever has been. There was fighting with us and the kids about video games versus playing outside. It rained and rained the first couple of weeks, so we couldn't have our normal summer fun on the lake - it made everyone tired. It became evident that our family is changing right before my eyes - the older the kids get, the more opinions they have (which opinions are rarely based on facts :) ), the more they push the limits and the more independent they become....they don't need or want to be with us as much as they used to. BUT THE GOOD NEWS....we learned to talk through things in a much better way, we all learned a little patience and we all learned about the importance of our foundation. I am going to miss all of the extra time we had during the summer - yep, even the times when they were fighting. I will miss summer!
