Last Days at St. Sue
When Conner first started at St. Susanna more than seven years ago, I was so nervous. Would they really take care of him? Could I trust them? Was he in the right place? Would they love him? All of those answers were answered yes in more ways than I could have ever imagined. To say that I am thankful for the teachers, staff and administrator's at St. Susanna, does not properly describe how truly thankful I am. They helped Jason and I to raise wonderful boys who love others, help others, who are confident, smart and giving. On the last day, both Conner and Drew won the "Spirit of St. Susanna Award" which is given to one boy and one girl in each grade level. The award is given to the students who show the most kindest and Christ-like values. To say that I am proud is an understatement. These boys, with their big hearts and caring ways are going to do something so great that I can't even begin to imagine what it is. I am so blessed that I get to be their mom. That being said, I realize that their foundation was build by St. Susanna. As we make our way into a new school next year, I will be forever grateful for St. Susanna and our St. Susanna family. I will miss the comfort of the small building and knowing everyone's names. I will miss the way Father talks to them each and every day. Most of all, I will miss knowing that each and every day my kids are learning and growing. I hope that we get just as comfortable at our new school next year.
Coming soon...BRACES
Drew's x-ray this week at the orthodontist showed that he has layers and layers of teeth trying to come through but stuck because of the size and shape of his mouth. As a result, he will have to have an expander and a first set of braces. The first thing he said - "If they don't make a mouthguard for braces, I don't want them. I would rather play football than have braces!"

Drew's First Communion
HE DID IT!!! Drew was very nervous to receive his First Holy Communion. The church did it differently this year in that each child went up by him/herself (in front of the entire congregation) to receive communion for the first time. Drew was worried he would drop the host or not go up at the right time - but none of that happened - he did a wonderful job! It is hard to believe that Drew is already old enough to receive - it seems like just yesterday we welcomed him into the world. We had a beautiful day for not only his First Communion but also for his party. It was wonderful to see how many people love Drew and have impacted his life. I can't wait to watch as all of God's plans for Drew unfold.
Our new pets: Camo & Shadow
The boys decided they wanted to try 4H. I was so excited because I know how important 4H can become in their lives. That being said, I really thought it would be a more project-based 4H - like lego building, photography or something like that. Instead, they decided to show rabbits!!! Conner's rabbit is Camo and Drew's is Shadow. So far - so good (well, except when the rabbits get by the dogs!). Cheers to new hobbies!!

Spring Break, 2018 - Windrock
For Spring Break - it sure felt like winter! It was even snowing in the mountains! That didn't stop us though! We always have such a great time when we are able to sneak away for a few days. I cannot wait until our next vacation!

Preparing for First Communion!
I can't believe Drew will make his First Holy Communion in less than one week! Watching him grow though this process has been so special. I hope that Drew always knows what a gift he is to our family and to others! I can't wait to celebrate with him this weekend! Here are a few of our favorite pictures as he prepared for his First Communion!
