I rarely go with the boys to prep for deer season. First it makes me nervous, second it is four hours of looking for deer scrapes and other signs and lastly, it is always FREEZING! However, the things that I love about it are watching how interested these boys are and how well Jason teaches Conner and Drew. They are lucky to have such an amazing dad who teaches them so much! This day was even better because the sun was shining and the leaves were turning. No deer yet, but they all have their fingers crossed!

Fall Fun 2013
There is something so special about fall- I don't know if it is the colors, the smells, the extra time (since we aren't on the lake as much) or what but I love it. We always have so much fun visiting local pumpkin patches and seeing all there is to see in Putnam County. Here are a few of my favorite pictures - as you can see, it is getting more and more difficult to get pictures of the boys together!
Morning Fog
I love the end of ski season for one reason only - the morning fog. I love getting out there knowing that the water will be warm but the air will be crisp. This was Conner's first year to ski (wake-board) through the fog. He has improved so much this year! I can't wait until next summer!
2013 Bass Tournament
Conner couldn't wait to participate in a bass tournament this year. He practiced each and every day for hours. He went out fishing with practically every fisherman on the lake so that he could learn their "hot-spots". The night before the tournament, he was so excited that he could barely go to sleep. He came in our room about 3:00 am to ask if he and Jason should get up so they didn't miss the start. They had a great day. Even though the boat broke down, they had to be towed to the weigh-in and they only weighed in one fish - Jason and Conner had a great day. The neatest things was watching him carry over the weigh-in bag to the sink. Everyone was there to watch him and everyone was so excited for him- I love watching him with his fisherman. This sport has definitely taught Conner patience and has put him in contact with so many wonderful role-models.

Conner and Drew's first 4-wheeler races!
Conner and Drew both raced their 4-wheelers and their power wheels for the first time this summer! It was so much fun to watch - but nerve wrecking at the same time. Both boys did very well during their 4-wheeler races. However, at the end of Drew's race, he looked back to see where we were and hit a rut and fell off of his 4-wheeler. I was nervous - but I was thankful that he knows our volunteer firefighters and that they were the ones working the finish line. They scooped him right up and waited for us to make it down there. Even though the boys are very young riders, and I get nervous, I am thankful that they know how to drive and know how to ride. I love watching them as they slowly stand up making the turns, knowing that their bodies have to be in the perfect position to not tip and to keep going fast. I love watching as they put their arm over the passenger seat in their power-wheels and back up into their spots in the garage in two seconds. Most of all, I love it that they ride with so many of their friends and I am thankful for the parents and grandparents of those kids. We get together on Sundays to ride and we always have dinner together afterwards. I love living in a place where everyone becomes your family.

Our Family - Conner 6, Drew 3 and Baby Mac 20 weeks!
I love our new family pictures for so many reasons - We had a beautiful night, the boys were well behaved, the pictures show their true personalities and the pictures this year so how much the boys have grown! In addition, the pictures this year show our new addition - Baby Mac number 3! We are excited to meet him/her in January, 2014! What a journey this pregnancy had been- the good news is that I have not been sick nor overly exhausted which is a huge blessing. The boys have mixed thoughts on the new baby- drew is super excited and even asked when he can have a baby in his belly! Conner, on the other hand does not want anymore babies!!! In fact every night during prayers, he prays for the baby and then tells God he can keep it in heaven if He wants to...we shall see how this turns out! We have a lot to do and prepare before January but for now we are enjoying the last few weeks of summer.
