Christmas 2017

We had such a great Christmas season.  I have to say though that this year I got a little teary eyed as I watched the boys playing football in the snow through the kitchen window.  I couldn't help but think of how fast the years are going and I couldn't help but wonder how many years I will have left - not only with them but where Christmas is so magical.  Conner's gifts this year were a motor for his fishing boat, a skiing life jacket and a rod and reel.  Drew got his crossbow and a little acorn grill.  Brenna got her very own dollhouse (made especially for her by her awesome Daddy) and all of the accessories to go with it!   We spent time with family and friends and even sneaked in a trip to Chicago before Christmas Eve.   It was wonderful to be together!

Brenna's Christmas Program

Brenna was the first McClellan child to preform in the preschool Christmas program without crying!  We were so proud of her and oh, what a performer she was!  She sang ABC's, Happy Birthday to Jesus, Rudolph and We Wish You a Merry Christmas!   I love her outgoing personality.  Even though she is still shy at heart, once she gets comfortable, she is quite the little ham!  These days her favorite things are playing school and playing babies.  I love watching her pretend and use her imagination.  She holds the baby dolls just like a mommy would.  When we play school, she is gentle and mocks all of her teacher's habits.  I wish she could stay this age forever!

Drew's First Deer!

Drew got his first deer this year!  It was during bow season and it was a monster!  He was so so so excited (as were all of us - especially Jason!).   I am so proud of Drew and we are still in shock that this was his first deer ever - all by himself!  They are getting is scored now to see if it will qualify for the record book!   So here is how the story goes....Drew is to short to see out of the window of the deer blind so Jason stands him on a five gallon bucket.  He sees this buck so jason hands him the crossbow and he shoots from a five gallon bucket and he has a perfect shot!  It was amazing and heaven sent for sure!

Trick or Treat 2017!
