Happy Halloween!

Prepping for Deer Season!

I rarely go with the boys to prep for deer season. First it makes me nervous, second it is four hours of looking for deer scrapes and other signs and lastly, it is always FREEZING!  However, the things that I love about it are watching how interested these boys are and how well Jason teaches Conner and Drew.  They are lucky to have such an amazing dad who teaches them so much!  This day was even better because the sun was shining and the leaves were turning.  No deer yet, but they all have their fingers crossed!

Fall Fun 2013

There is something so special about fall- I don't know if it is the colors, the smells, the extra time (since we aren't on the lake as much) or what but I love it.  We always have so much fun visiting local pumpkin patches and seeing all there is to see in Putnam County.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures - as you can see, it is getting more and more difficult to get pictures of the boys together!

Morning Fog

I love the end of ski season for one reason only - the morning fog. I love getting out there knowing that the water will be warm but the air will be crisp.  This was Conner's first year to ski (wake-board) through the fog.  He has improved so much this year!  I can't wait until next summer!

2013 Bass Tournament

Conner couldn't wait to participate in a bass tournament this year.  He practiced each and every day for hours.  He went out fishing with practically every fisherman on the lake so that he could learn their "hot-spots".  The night before the tournament, he was so excited that he could barely go to sleep.  He came in our room about 3:00 am to ask if he and Jason should get up so they didn't miss the start.  They had a great day.  Even though the boat broke down, they had to be towed to the weigh-in and they only weighed in one fish - Jason and Conner had a great day.  The neatest things was watching him carry over the weigh-in bag to the sink.  Everyone was there to watch him and everyone was so excited for him- I love watching him with his fisherman.  This sport has definitely taught Conner patience and has put him in contact with so many wonderful role-models.
